This is such a great idea. I bet it really cuts down on the number of worksheets you might use. I know your students enjoy them too!Jenniferkindertrips
I love the challenge of trying to do activities in our notebooks instead of copying a worksheet:) It makes learning stick vs just filling in the blanks.
Great Poems :) Thanks for sharing.SueThe Very Busy Kindergarten
I love these!
I focus on two of the sight word poems each week also. I love my Scholastic Sight Word Poems but I didn't know the other book. Thanks for the suggestion. We put ours in a 3 ring binder that we call our Noisy Reader. Donna W.
I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh. I love this! Do you end up filling the entire journal with poems? I guess I should wait until the week is over to find out. Thanks a bunch for sharing! We have been doing nursery rhymes and we put them into folders with brads.
The notebook is a mixture of all the posts from this week and more. We were 5 pages shy of filling our whole reading and writing notebooks this year:)
Love this idea!! Where did you find the poems?
The poems are from the books listed at the top of the page.
I love, love, love this idea!
This is fabulous! I plan to do this this year. When do you start this? Could you share the poems for the first few weeks to get us started?
The poems are from the books listed at the top of the post. I find poems to go along with our sight words and type them on labels.
I love these notebooks! When do you start them and when do you start introducing sight words?
I start all three notebooks throughout the first month of school. We introduce 2 star words a week and we start the first full week of school.
